What would you like to tell Brides about your experience with Niki D Photography and Film

Niki was absolutely amazing! She made us both feel so comfortable and relaxed and had beautiful ideas for photos. We had great fun with Niki and would highly recommend her!

Is there a special reason you chose this venue

The winery had beautiful London Plane trees that reminded us of England where we spent our first few years together. The reception felt appropriate in our backyard of our first home together.

Tell us how you met

I went to England for my best friend’s wedding and fell in love with her cousin. We spent 2 weeks travelling around together then I moved in!

How did the Proposal happen

We were on holidays in Australia and climbed Mt Maroon, a mountain I had always wanted to climb. Mike hid the ring on top of the rock stack at the peak when I wasn’t looking.

How did you choose your Bridal Party

My two best friends were an easy choice and Mike’s brother and old school friend were always going to be in the party.

Where will you be honeymooning

Mike had planned a surprise trip to the Whitsunday’s but Cyclone Debbie meant we had to cancel! Hopefully we can reschedule it soon.

What was your funniest moment

Watching the hog roast catch fire and watching all the boys run to the rescue!

What was your favourite memory from the day

Walking into the reception where everyone was waiting with a favourite song playing. All the kids ran down to hug, congratulate and throw rose petals on us. It was very cute and completely unscripted.

Is there anyone you would like to thank

My parents and maid of honour for all the time and effort they put in to our DIY wedding and everyone that travelled so far to celebrate with us.

What would be your advice for Brides

If things go wrong on the day or leading up to it just go with it, your guests will either understand or not notice. Take it all in and have the best day!
