Melissa and Travers got married at St Bernards Hotel on the stunning Tamborine Mountain.

Is there a special reason you chose this venue? It was the first place on the mountain that really took our breath away

Tell us how you met: My sister and brother in law had been trying to set us up for years but our paths had never managed to cross until we finally met at their house in 2013 and that was it!

How did the proposal happen: It was the night before my birthday. Trav surprised me out of the blue in the backyard over a few drinks in summer in Vic. Completely unexpected. He said he had to do it asap as the ring was burning a hole in his pocket. He couldn’t wait till the next day. He had the ring made with tiny ‘m’s on each side to represent Melissa McNaught

How did you chose your Bridal Party: We chose our best friends and my sister and Travs brother

Where will you be honeymooning: We hope to organise a family trip to America next year ending on an island somewhere with plenty of babysitting!

What was the funniest moment on the day: Trav breaking out a hill billy dance with his suspenders to Maroon 5’s “Sugar”

What was your favourite memory of the day: Our photo shoot at the look out with the random arch made for us by all the people there for the sunset!

Who would you like to Thank: My husband for working so hard to make our day happen xxx

What would be your best advice for Brides-to-be: If you are going to get married on NYE then be prepared for higher costs and that florist warehouses shut down!!!

What would you like to tell future brides about your experience with Niki D Photography + Film: My experience was completely carefree. Niki made the whole experience so relaxing that i knew that i didnt have to worry about anything. I knew from her professionalism and portfolio that my wedding photos were going to be amazing and I left it completely in her hands.
