Steph + Tim
We were lucky enough to be asked to capture Steph + Tims special day with both Photography and Film and it was just so beautiful! These two lovebirds are such genuine awesome people and so perfectly in love, it was just a pleasure to witness!
Everything from the epic proposal (see below) to the venue choice that had so much meaning, every little detail had been planned to make the whole day so personal and heartfelt.

Niki has been a wonderful addition to our wedding journey. From the minute we met her at the Wedding Expo to our final meeting at our wedding, Niki has made the journey smooth and worry-free. She is friendly, bubbly, has a great personality and easy to get along with. We can ask her anything, and she always has the right answer. We had a great time at Mount Tamborine, shooting our Engagement shoot and have loved receiving our personal photographs. We can’t wait until we receive our wedding photographs and videos. Thank you so much for everything along the way.

Is there a special reason you chose this venue
Yes. Our lives revolve around the beach. We are both members of the Broadbeach SLSC and have been patrolling the beaches since we were 15. We spend most weekends down the beach with our friends and family. It was the perfect location close to the heart.
We chose Schusters Park as our Wedding Ceremony location because we adore the Tallebudgera area and wanted to get married on the water, without the crowds. As soon as we arrived, we fell in love with the park and it’s abundance of giant trees.
Tell us how you met
We met during a Winter Surf Lifesaving event called IRB’s (Inflatable Rescue Boat Racing). We competed for different clubs at the time but both being new to the sport, Steph kept focusing on the racing part, while Tim kept trying to find out who Steph was and also the racing. It wasn’t until a few months later, at the Australian Titles after party, with a few too many rums, that we both couldn’t keep our eyes off each other. We spent the night under the stars on the beach talking about anything and everything. From that moment on, we have been inseparable.
How did the Proposal happen
After five days trekking through the Salkantay Trek we finally made it to Machu Picchu. As part of our tour we got to climb the Huayana Picchu mountain. As we were nearing the top it started to rain and rumble and all we were thinking was, “Please no Earthquakes!” Little did I know, Tim had a surprise up at the top. We were 2500m above sea level, in between the clouds with nothing to hold on to but each other. After taking pictures of the magnificent view Tim asked me to slide down the rock close to him. He kept saying how much he loves me. All of a sudden he popped out the ring and asked me to marry him. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was a magical moment. We were both high on life!
How did you choose your Bridal Party
Our bridal party consisted of Tora, Olivia, Johnathon and Benjamin.
Tora is my Swedish friend who lived with my mum and I in Adelaide for a number of years while she studied at university. Tora and I grew closer as the years went on and she became a part of our family. (Steph)
Olivia is Tim’s younger sister. As soon as she was born, Tim and Olivia were inseparable. Olivia and I share a special connection as we share the same birthday. We are born on the same day in the same year, 1989.
Johnathon and myself have been friends since we were 9 or 10 years old. Being the same age going through surf life saving we spent most of our weekends together. Through training together every weekend and spending all our down time together, we grew quite close. Just a nice easy going friendship that was based on singing Weird Al Yankovic and having as much fun as possible. It was an easy choice to have him as part of my wedding party.
Ben is my elder brother and has always been one of my best mates. Being my older brother he looked after me when I was younger but as I grew older we became quite close. Having similar interests around the beach meant we spent many many hours together watching the bathing public and increasing our bond.
Where will you be honeymooning
As a honeymoon gift to us, we bought a camper trailer. We are heading to Double Island (Noosa North Shore) for a week to kick back and relax by the beach with nobody in sight and no cell reception. Swimming, reading, eating and enjoying married life!
What was your funniest moment
There were a lot of laughs and smiles throughout the day. A great moment would have to be Johnathon and his song to us. It was a parody of the song ‘The Saga Begins’. It was classic!
What was your favourite memory from the day
Our favourite memory of the day would be the Ceremony. Everything about the ceremony was unreal.
