Amy + Joel
“I can laugh back on it now but the funniest part of the day, it had to be the wedding gown malfunction.
It all started when I went to the bathroom, which I had to sit backwards then reached for toilet paper and the dress “popped” which happened to be the hook keeping the zipper on my bodice up. Needless to say it did not stay and we ended up safety pinning my dress which resulted in my MOH having to undo and do my my buttons roughly 50 times… My MOH and Bridemaids stepped up and also had to do a lot of going down my dress and pulling it up ALL night.. needless to say we are all a lot closer after our wedding day haha” Amy

Amy + Joel were nervous about doing an Engagement Shoot. I said to them what I say to everyone, you need to dress and come to the shoot as yourselves.
If you are a jeans and tshirt couple, cool, if you are disco ravers thats cool too. But be you.
Needless to say they loved our shoot and the rest is history!
Their wedding day was just one of those days that hits you right there, with family wiping tears and heartfelt vows to not only each other but Joel’s son, it was just so special and beautiful.
We had dress malfunctions and goodbyes in between everything and we had gorgeous moments throughout the whole day and smiles a million miles wide.
Being able to Photograph and Film their day meant we got to capture so much more and we wish them a lifetime of love and happiness.
What would you like to tell Brides about your experience with Niki D Photography and Film
What can we say but seriously Niki and Sean were absolutely amazing!
They made us feel extremely comfortable and relaxed, especially for my husband who does not like photos.
My husband and I will definitely be using them in the future for any important events or any maternity/baby/family photos!

Is there a special reason you chose this venue
Cedar Creek Lodges is absolutely stunning and everything we wished for and more. We knew we wanted an open ceremony and reception. My Mum actually found the venue and we fell in love straight away.
Tell us how you met
Joel and I met about 10 years ago through his brother. The first thing I noticed was his Nissan Skyline, then when I saw him I knew I had to get to know him!
How did the Proposal happen
The proposal happened at home. When I walked into his computer room after folding laundry he was down on one knee with my ring, our furbaby (dog) Spencer had a sign around his neck saying “Will you marry my Daddy?” with the song “Will you marry me?” by Once Jameson playing in the background. It was perfect.
Where will you be honeymooning
What was your favourite memory from the day
My favourite memory is torn between 2 special moments, my husband shedding a tear when he saw me walking down the aisle. This is huge for him as he never cries or shows too much emotion, and reading my vows to my 9 year old stepson Maxx. I had to stop at the beginning as I was so emotional reading them to him.
What would be your advice for Brides
Definitely take a deep breath and take everything in. Don’t sweat it if anything doesn’t go to plan. It makes you laugh and you have a story to tell afterwards.
Always carry a needle and thread for any dress malfunctions!
And as my celebrant says ” You cannot do anything wrong, as no one knows how the day is meant to be so you literally cannot get anything wrong!”
