What would you like to tell Brides about your experience with Niki D Photography and Film
Exceptional service right from the start! Niki & her team are amazing to work with. Helping ease those nerves.
Niki went above & beyond throughout the day from helping put dads buttonhole on, as mum & I were struggling (haha), to working with us throughout the reception as a couple of things changed on the night.
Couldn’t recommend Niki D & her Team more highly.

Is there a special reason you chose this venue
Church: John’s parents were married there, John was baptised there and Kimberley’s Aunty (godmother) was baptised there too. So we both had a family connection. Plus the church itself is stunning.
How did the Proposal happen
Christmas morning 2015 John surprised Kimberley with a treasure hunt around their home. At each spot around the house there was a clue that she had to follow, to lead her to the next. Finally ending back at the Christmas tree where she found a card containing half of an original love poem written by John. When she got to the end, John got down on one knee and finished the poem, asking Kimberley to marry him. She said yes & the rest is history.
Johnny took Dad out fishing in his boat to one of our local dams and ask for permission. Dad was left speechless!
How did you choose your Bridal Party
John: younger brother and closest friends. Jason & I have been friends since preschool. With Aaron & Che being friends with Johnny for 14yrs through basketball. And Matt being John’s best Christmas present… a little brother.
Kim: I just knew straight away in my heart who my girls would be. Three of us have been friends from school, we are all still very close. With my MOH Maxine & I being friends for 17yrs! Danielle & I met in the local pub, the start of a great friendship.
Where will you be honeymooning
Week after the wedding we thawed out & relaxed at Mantra on Salt, Kingscliff. We are planning a longer honeymoon later in the year, when we can both get more time off.
What was your funniest moment
When the Brides hummer was spotted on the highway in front of the Groom & groomsmen cars. Then it was a race to the church, with the boys honking the horns & hanging out the windows as the passed the girls.
What was your favourite memory from the day
John: watching Kimberley enter the church & walk down the aisle.
Kim: walking up the stairs at church to hold John’s hands.

What would be your advice for Brides
Start with a budget & a list of things that are important to you – what you won’t compromise on. Stick to it.
Start looking for your dress early. It’s a great time to hang out with your mum! I took my mum, my MOH Maxibe & John’s mum. We had such a great time!
Organisation is the key! We bought ourselves a wedding planning folder from www.elliefont.com.au and it was a great help. Kept us on track!
Don’t overshare your plans. Keep people guessing & they’ll be blown away & enjoy the day even more!
If little things don’t go to plan on the day just smile & move on. Noones else knows! You’ll look back on those little things & laugh later I promise!
Be true to yourself & your hubby to be.
